Upgrade Your Duramax Passenger Side Up Pipe (2001-2016 LB7-LML)
Enhance your 2001-2016 6.6L Chevrolet/GMC Duramax engine bay with Vigor Diesel’s Passenger Side Up Pipe. While factory up pipes are prone to cracking due to heat cycles and vibration, leading to low boost and higher EGTs, our upgraded solution is built to handle the heat.
Durability Through Engineering
We start with high-grade T304 Stainless Steel for the entire pipe and all flanges, providing exceptional resistance to the high-heat, corrosive environment of a diesel exhaust system. All connections are TIG-welded for maximum joint strength and longevity, while the heavy-duty CNC-machined flanges guarantee a perfect, warp-free sealing surface.
Application-Specific Design
This isn't a "one size fits all" pipe. The internal bore and external bends are precision-engineered to perfectly navigate the unique firewall clearance constraints on all Duramax L platforms from 2001 through 2016 (LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, and LML). Installation is a straightforward, non-destructive bolt-on process using the factory location.
Comprehensive Heat Management
L-platform engine bays are notoriously tight, and the heat from a leaked up pipe can damage sensitive sensors and harnesses. This Vigor Diesel kit includes a roll of Basalt Fiber Heat Wrap and stainless steel ties. This 1800°F-rated material allows for targeted wrapping to keep thermal radiation localized, protecting critical under-hood components and potentially helping spool times by maintaining internal exhaust velocity.
